Based near Oxford, Blazepoint is a UK owned and managed company that specialises in rugged laptops, rugged printers, and rugged tablets. The company also supplies ruggedised and TEMPEST peripherals, as well as purpose built equipment mounting systems, designed to UK, USA and NATO specification for military, government and commercial markets worldwide. The company is a major supplier to most European major defence primary contractors and NATO.

A significant factor in Blazepoint’s success is its understanding of the needs of the end user and the systems integrator by offering a highly flexible approach to developing the right solution. When needed, emissions controls and other protective mechanisms are built in to ensure high levels of security. Its products are controlled by UK export regulations and are also free of US export control regulations (ITAR).

Blazepoint have produced the ndura RUGGED® range of products; designed especially for emerging military opportunities with particular emphasis on future soldier technology. Rugged Tablet Computers

Blazepoint have been providing COTS and bespoke rugged tablet solutions to military and commercial customers since 1996, having seen action on Navy vessels, been used for aircraft ground support as well as gun mounted applications.

Rugged PDA's

Blazepoint offers a range of Ruggedised PDA and Rugged Handheld solutions that provide lower power consumption processors together with versatile communications and data capture capabilities.
The rugged PDA is changing the way people communicate in a diversity of ways. In his Final Report of the Review of Policing on 7 February 2008, Sir Ronnie Flanagan said that "One force estimates they have saved 51 minutes per frontline officer through the use of handheld PDAs."

Rugged Printers

Blazepoint has developed a unique range of Rugged Printers under its flagship ndura RUGGED® range. Comprising of shock mounted COTS engines; these Rugged Printers provide the robustness required to survive the most hostile environments.

All external mounting systems can be tailored for any vehicle, ship or portable application and as with all Blazepoint products; these Rugged Printers are both tested and meet the requirements of MIL-STD-810F. Compatible with any computer, this versatile range of Rugged Printers include inkjet, dot matrix and plotter technology.Blazepoint's rugged printing solutions have seen action on Navy vessels, used for aircraft ground support, under canvas and even in the open air.

Products from the range of ndura RUGGED® printers were used in the last Gulf War and have been part of many military projects. Blazepoint rugged printers played a huge part in the BOWMAN programme, which provided a £2.2 billion upgrade to UK forces communications networks and also included Blazepoints rugged computing equipment which was fitted into military vehicles, training facilities, Royal Navy vessels and helicopters.

Rugged Displays

Blazepoint offer a range of  rugged displays that are specifically engineered to withstand harsh environments. Whether vehicle, bulkhead, desk, rack or console mounted, the enhanced shock and vibration safeguards, as well as electromagnetic environmental interference protection ensure continued operation. With multiple power supplies, including aviation approvals, these rugged displays will also handle VGA, DVI and BNC input.

Rugged Systems and Peripherals

Blazepoint can supply a range bespoke rugged systems which are built to comply with MIL-STD-810 environmental conditions and MIL-STD-461 EMC conditions. Careful consideration is made towards rugged enclosure selection, cooling and transportation requirements as well as the retention of peripherals.
 
ndura RUGGED® Peripheral products provide that reassuring protection whilst maintaining a high level of interoperability with legacy systems. Blazepoint have historically provided a range of bespoke Rugged Peripherals. These have included a rugged military memory stick, a rugged mouse and more recently a ruggedised A4 scanner.
