Military CBRN Clothing

Offering an impressive garment portfolio which completely understands the needs of the end user, Lion's wide range of military CBRN clothing includes the single layered MiTE which delivers versatile, lightweight, comfortable easy on/off protection and is ideal for search and rescue operations and incident monitoring. The multiple-hazard ERS suit is a rapid response garment which offers significant protection benefits to the police, bomb disposal, search and rescue and special forces. Other garments include the MIGZ3, an ensemble specifically designed for crowd and perimeter control, and the ICG which offers advanced protection against  the world's worse chem/bio threats.

Gore® Chempak® Fabrics

Lion's CBRN clothing employs a range of Gore® Chempak® fabrics to ensure their garments provide the most effective protection. The Improved Chemical Garment (ICG), like both the MiTE and MT94 multi-threat garments, uses the Gore Chempak Ultra Barrier Fabric, which comprises an impermeable fluoropolymer barrier film laminated between two flame and melt resistant textile layers. The Extended Response Suit (ERS) and the MIG Z3 Mass Incident Garment meanwhile, are made from Chempak® Selectively Permeable Fabric, which is liquid proof and impermeable to air for protective purposes, yet moisture vapour breathable for increased comfort.

Firefighters' Protective Clothing

Lion Apparel also offer firefighters' protective clothing in the form of the Janesville® CB-Xit™ structural ensemble. The suit combines the comfort and mobility afforded by the contoured, form-fitting characteristics of Lion's V-Force® turnouts, with the CBRN protection of Gore® Chempak® technology. It constitutes a breathable protective envelope which provides the thermal and moisture resistance required by firefighters, as well as single-exposure protection against chemical warfare agents such as sarin and mustard. The ensemble is fully compliant with National Fire Protection Association 1971 standards, and also meets CBRNE safety criteria.
