Carleton's assortment of actuators generates pneumatic power for wing/fin deployment on various precision strike weapons systems. The actuators feature cold or hot gas, and can produce exceptionally repeatable forces. Deployment rates vary depending on design parameters; and deployment can be achieved using single stage, dual stage, or dual rate actuation. Electro-pneumatic activation occurs via signal conditioning or direct connection to aircraft. The system can be temperature-compensated if required and electrical connections are designed to match aircraft requirements. It can perform up to 500 ejections without periodic maintenance. Aiming a pistol under normal daylight conditions and hitting the target requires minimum effort. But, under low light conditions, standard sights become ineffective. FBI statistics indicate that 80% of officer shooting injuries take place in low-light or no-light conditions. Painting three white dots on the sights offers only marginal improvement.
