Foams for Military Applications
Under the Plastazote® brand, the Company produces a range of foams for military applications; foams that meet MOD Defense standards as well as US Military Specification requirements. Plastazote foams in military level packaging are generally used for cushioning so a thorough knowledge of cushion characteristics for each grade is essential. Zotefoams provides a digital "cushioning calculator" to assist in such packaging design.
The Zotek® foams range comprises advanced performance foams based on fluoropolymers, polyamides and other engineering polymers.
Foams for Aviation and Military Applications
Zotek F PVDF foams are being used increasingly in aviation applications. They have excellent UV, nuclear radiation and ageing resistance, high dielectric strength and outstanding resistance to a wide range of solvents and aggressive chemicals. They are biologically inert, thermally stable and are inherently flame retardant releasing very little heat and only small quantities of smoke during combustion.
Zotek N polyamide foams find applications in military vehicles because of their high durability, outstanding resistance to hydrocarbon oils and fuels and exceptional high temperature tolerance.
