YORK Navy Systems is a division of Johnson Controls, Inc., a global company with over $30 billion (US) in sales. York Navy Systems have centres of excellence in the US, UK and France. The division and its equipment can be found on hundreds of ships around the world, including all NATO nuclear submarines and the majority of NATO conventional submarines and surface combatants.

As well as the design, build and test of key components such as chilled water plants and refrigeration stores plants, YORK Navy Systems engineers design the HVAC system and supply complete equipment packages including air filtration units, air treatment units, ultra-violet odour filters, high integrity gas-tight closures, fully integrated ductwork systems and a METASYS ® controls package, in fact everything the modern warship needs to help it operate at maximum efficiency and keep it's crews comfortable and safe.

Longevity, along with innovation, consistency and reliability, is one of the key factors in the YORK Navy Systems association with the Royal Navy. As the number one supplier of HVAC&R equipment to the RN, our systems can be found on 8 of the 16 Type 23 frigates, the Type 45, as well as in Vanguard, Trafalgar, Swiftsure and Astute Class submarines, the LPDs Albion and Bulwark, and the Royal Fleet Auxiliary vessels Wave Knight and Wave Ruler. Further a field, the company is a direct supplier to many other world navies including the US, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia, Brunei, India and countless others.
