Cover guard® is the world's leading flame retardant temporary protection system. Used by the armed forces and marine, offshore, aviation, rail, construction and utilities industries to protect during new build, refurbishment, maintenance and out fitting stages.

Ship Covers

cover guard® was introduced by Bainbridge International following extensive research and development in collaboration with a large number of internationally recognised and approved bodies for the prevention of fire. This included consultation with many marine and naval based organisations within the industry. The result is a market leading product that is safe, flame retardant and easy to use with a cost that makes commercial sense.

Floor Protection Covers

Floor Protection CoversFloor protection is the original cover guard, offering a temporary non-slip, flame-retardant shield for all types of flooring. During new build or refit, it is suitable for covering and wrapping almost anything from furnishings to weatherdecks. From the success of the floor product, Wall cover guard was created. It is suitable for the same uses as the floor protection as it is flame retardant and made from polypropylene, with one side matt and the other smooth. It is also ideal for vertical surfaces where a non-slip finish is not required. Carpet cover guard has the added feature of a water-based adhesive backing, ensuring it keeps its position but will not leave adhesive on the carpet when pulled up.

Scaffolding Covers

Scaffold cover guard is designed for use in areas that need to be closed off for construction. In close and busy environments such as on board Carpet Protectionnaval ships, alterations or improvements in one sector are often made difficult by the risks to neighbouring sectors. Cover guard can be used to screen the work being carried out and so suppress hazardous substances which may be involved or even just restrict mess. The protection also works in reverse; shielding the area being developed from exterior contaminations. This may be a particular advantage for construction work in public sectors, such as shot blasting and paint over-spray.

Corriboard

Construction, development, refits and suchlike will inevitably raise Dock Yardconcerns over the possibility of damaging surfaces. Impact cover guard is available as foam or as a twin-fluted polypropylene corriboard, which cleverly creates a cushion of air between the protected surface and forces that could have an impact on it. Impact cover guard can also be used as a more guaranteed way of protecting walls and doors. Impact cover guard is also available in a translucent version to cover windows.

Fire Curtains

For markets such as the petrochemical industry, the cover guard collection features a product called Fire Curtain. This heavy duty protection has a fibreglass base-fabric and a satin-weave with a silicone Fire Curtainsfinish. Because of its coating, it surpasses the competition in repelling oil, water and other harmful substances, simultaneously offering low smoke and high fire retardancy. When tested on its ability to prevent the surface spread of flame, fire curtain was awarded the highest possible classification; Class 1. It is intended to act as a barrier against fire in areas where protection from flames is required at all times; i.e. during lengthy periods of welding and grinding.
