VT Support Services comprises of two main business units VT Defence and VT Critical Services.

VT Critical Services comprises of the government and commercial business units trading as:

  • VT Emergency Services
  • VT Airside Solutions

VT Emergency Services undertakes technical studies for a wide range of customers some of which have included:

  • Rail Operating Companies
  • The Royal Navy
  • The British Army
  • The Royal Air Force
  • HM Fire Inspectorate

VT Emergency Services designed, owns and operates 2 fire training centres in the UK, Severn Park Fire and Rescue Training Centre and Cardiff Gate Training and Development Centre.

It is a world leader in Maritime Fire Fighting training, having built 2 maritime fire training centres for the British Royal Navy at HMS Excellent in Portsmouth and HMS Raleigh in Torpoint.

It also has an increasing Commercial Marine capability and currently operates and maintains 5 vessels which are available for charter. This includes the state of the art Research Vessel (RV) Prince Madog.

VT Airside Solutions comprises of the former Lex Metropolitan Police contract and the British Airways contract.
