The wide range of evacuation chutes, mini chutes and slides means that VIKING is unique in providing life-saving mass evacuation systems to suit every type and size of vessel.
VIKING evacuation chutes have been proven, during exhaustive trials onshore and at sea under various extremes of climate, and in rough sea conditions, to be exceptionally stable dry shod systems that enable rapid and safe evacuation directly into liferafts.
The telescopic nature of the reinforced Kevlar evacuation chute ensures a safe descent path, and compensates for ship and sea movements so that evacuation is not obstructed. This life-saving system has the additional advantage of protecting evacuees from environmental hazards (for example Arctic conditions) during evacuation, and is fitted with a protective cover. The life-saving system has an evacuation capacity of 367 persons in 30 minutes.
VIKING's proven Self-Righting Marine Liferafts have been tested to ensure that no matter how the liferaft lands in the water it will always self-right itself ready for boarding. Demonstrated under numerous rough sea trials, velocity tests and deployed at extremely low temperatures, the liferafts have been successfully tested in compliance with international requirements and regulations. They are available in four sizes; for 25, 51, 101 and 150 persons.
Single seater liferafts are designed for military fast jet aircrew and are tested and approved according to the strictest life-saving system requirements.
AVS Aviation self-righting liferafts are designed for 33 persons for transport aeroplanes and for 12 persons for helicopters and smaller jet craft. They are fitted with an anti-vacuum device and approved for –45°C/-49°F. VIKING Aviation liferafts are ready to board within 30 seconds due to Rapid Inflation. They have a three-layer insulated floor for arctic survival and fulfil the material requirements outlined in TSO C70a.
VIKING life-saving immersion, constant wear, pilot, helicopter transportation and special suits and helicopter hoists are designed for quality, reliability, safety, comfort and durability. They are standard or made to specification and provide maximum protection for those working in or near water where there is a danger of accidental immersion. VIKING life-saving suits and helicopter hoists combine the comfort required to work freely with the safety of effective life-saving system protection against cold or heat.
VIKING's lifejackets are specially designed to ensure maximum personal safety at sea. VIKING's lifejackets are designed to turn an unconscious person to an optimal floating angle using a face up position-securing faceboard.
VIKING offers a variety of designs for state-of-the-art soft / Bullet Proof body armour with or without inherent of inflatable buoyancy. These lifejackets provide triple protection from bullets, stabs, and fragmentation. The innovative materials used mean that the soft body armour remains 100% effective when wet. This unique quality makes VIKING's life-saving lifejacket systems the best choice in protection for special forces, coastguards, customs and other waterborne operating task forces.
