With "Model of Excellence" as the company's working motto, Paragon Rapid Technologies have built a reputation within the Rapid Prototyping industry of high quality service and products with their ever increasing customer base of Design Houses, Moulding Companies and OEMs across the Consumer Product, Automotive, Healthcare and Aerospace markets. Their success is the result of Innovation and commitment, always striving to exceed the limits of the process and the expectations of their customers.
Paragon are relied upon by many suppliers to the Ministry of Defence and are able to offer a complete prototyping solution. Though their areas of expertise are:
The production of 1 off or low volume functional components, from 3D CAD data, manufactured from Nylon, for testing and evaluation. Typical applications are mounts and housings. Parts can usually be produced in 3-5 days.
The production of accurate, one off resin models for evaluation and as master patterns for silicone tooling processes. Complex geometries are produced within a few days and these models can be fully finished and painted to represent final mouldings.
The production of multiple polyurethane components from silicone tooling. The vacuum castings are both visually and mechanically representative of production mouldings. Castings can be produced in clear or tinted materials or fully pigmented to colour references. The wide range of resins available allows the simulation of most production materials including, ABS, Polypropylene, Polycarbonate, Glass Filled Nylon and various hardness of rubber.
In addition parts can also be produced from a V0 rated, flame retardant resin and various silicone rubbers.
Simulating 2-shot or overmoulded components through the vacuum casting process. Typical applications are hand held devices with soft grips and also electronic enclosures with an integral, water tight, rubber seal.
Vacuum Castings which have a thermal stability of up to 220°c. Ideal for under bonnet applications or for use in hazardous environments.
CNC machining of components from Steel, Aluminium or Plastics.
In order to fulfill the ever increasing demands of engineers and product designers, Paragon have developed and perfected the techniques to produce prototype models which are accurate to the intended production parts, in colour, texture and material properties.
With careful planning, preparation and attention to detail, Paragon have successfully completed many projects for the Military and Emergency Services. Projects have included a Hand Held Device for detecting chemical hazards. Casings, switches and Housings for rugged lighting units. Electronic Enclosures for communications equipment. Full face respirators, Audio Products, Optical Lenses and Engine Components for Military Vehicles.
By using Paragon's Rapid Prototyping services through the Product Development cycle, designers and engineers have been able to optimise their designs by identifying areas for improvement, proving the fit and function of products and presenting working units to their clients. This has resulted in a superior product, a reduced time to market and subsequently savings on the cost of development.
Based in the North East of England with a staff of 26, Paragon are supplying customers from all over the UK and Ireland and into Europe. They offer a quick and professional service with a detailed focus on each of their customers specific requirements.
