Lidan Marine, a company founded in 1909, has focused on meeting the demand for ultra light weight compact and shock proof handling systems suited for the new line of multi purpose stealth combat ships. Our equipment has for years been proven on military vessels in Europe as well as North America and our company has a history of working with the majority of the global defence system integrators and a number of international ship yards. Our light weight handling systems have a recognized reliability and our company has a vast experience in supplying multi task equipment.
The handling system is tooled to manage anything from weapons handling to life rescue tasks. With an in-depth knowledge in designing equipment for tough environmental conditions the company has developed rational methods to supply reliable product. Lidan is frequently asked to meet extreme temperature design requirements and still within the MIL-STD chock durability. With a history in North Atlantic offshore we know how to handle saturated salt moisture in combination with high temperature variations. Two major projects in the Visby class corvette program were awarded Lidan Marine.
Winch Systems
Light weight Towed Array Sonar (TAS) winch systems and heave compensated Variable Depth Active Sonar (VDS) winch systems as well as the combination of TAS and VDS. The design meets required STD-MIL and is based on stainless and high tensile steel giving a minimal of magnetic signature. The compact product architecture contains a chock absorbing technology which is reducing weight to a minimum. The compact and light weigh design will allow the vessel to carry additional arms and equipment.
The product portfolio contains everything from edge cutting technology solutions to general winch systems such as the recovery winch systems for Rib Boats. Both hydraulic and electric solutions are available. The high heave compensation resolution has proven to dramatically contribute to improve the probability for mission success (detection of underwater objects such as sub-marines and mines). The heave compensation technology has by internationally leading defence system integrators been acknowledged to be state of the art. Lidan, with an experienced engineering staff knowing how to design solutions to depend upon, supplies turn-key solutions including control and power unit.
Handling Systems
Light weight Launch and Recovery Systems (Launch and Rescue Systems) for Remote Operated Vehicle-E and Remote Operated Vehicle-S including emergency recovery systems. Our tailored Launch and Retrieval Systems (LARS) are when so required designed to handle multiple tasks and often heave compensated. The compact design has a chock absorbing technology, reducing weight to a minimum and still meets the required MIL-STD. With a wide range of technical solutions supplied to the offshore industry, Lidan has proven technology for heave compensation.
The heave compensated functionality allows the rescue of Man-Over-Board without risking harming personnel. Loading and stowing of missiles, mines and Remote Operated Vehicles. Rescue systems for Man-over-Board as well as Recovery and Rescue of Divers (Personnel) based on motion compensated cranes. Launch and Recovery Systems for towed bodies including A-frames and stowing cradle. Light weight design in stainless steel in accordance with international Lifting Appliances. Clear and easy Man-to-Machine interface and full availability in the monitoring of the equipment during operation reducing training costs. Easy of access in maintenance and modular design makes way for high accessibility.
Test Equipment
Lidan has successfully supplied advanced test equipment for helicopter winches and vehicle test ranges. The solutions ranges form high resolution systems with forces from a couple of hundred Newton to high energy systems at 1000 kW applied at durations down to 5 seconds. The equipment has a professional man-to-machine interface with high storage capabilities and full traceability.
