The iTrinegy range of network emulators can simulate a wide range of network characteristics such as latency, jitter, bandwidth restrictions, packet loss and errors typically encountered in radio, wireless, satellite and other military communications systems. As a result, they are ideal for testing the performance of technologies focused around Network Centric Operations (NCO) or Network Enabled Capabilities (NEC) or any field based TCP/IP communication systems including bespoke military protocols and applications, RoIP (Radio over IP) and VoIP (Voice over IP).
The advantage of deploying our network emulators include the ability to:
Trinegy's emulation technology is already relied upon by the US military, British MOD and leading military systems suppliers to test networked applications.
iTrinegy Network Emulator - Enterprise (INE Enterprise) is ideal for recreating complex multi-user /multi-path /multi-site network environments. In addition to the ability to adjust standard network parameters such as latency, jitter, available bandwidth etc, INE Enterprise can be used to simulate packet shaping or traffic shaping technologies.
Although capable of replicating the conditions likely to be encountered during complex communication pathways, INE Enterprise is easy to set up and can store and replay any network scenarios you may wish to deploy. It can be supplied in a ruggedized, military-approved portable PC housing or as a rack-mount unit.
iTrinegy Network Emulator - LCD (INE-LCD) is a genuinely portable, all-in-one emulation device which can be used to recreate realistic network conditions so that you can test the performance of any application or device on the go.
INE-LCD eliminates the need for a keyboard, monitor and mouse as all its settings are simply made and saved via a front LCD screen with "car radio style" push buttons to choose pre-defined or programmable conditions needed to test any application in a realistic replication of the WAN/LAN.
At only 8ins x 9ins x 2ins (200mm x 240mm x 50mm), its small size makes it easy to transport and use in the field
iTrinegy Network Emulator - Compact (INE Compact) is a small, silent, portable inline network simulator which is ideal for use at the desktop. Simply connect inline between the host machine and end-user client, either directly or via switches and routers and apply the required network characteristics in order to introduce the required network parameters in order to see how the application performs. Multiple INE Compact units can be linked together to create different network conditions for each segment of the communications pathway.
iTrinegy Network Emulator for Windows (INE for Windows) is WAN simulator software that can be installed on the Windows desktop or server to emulate the network environment between applications running on these systems and the outside world. It is ideal for developers as it gives them the ability to develop in the WAN (Satellite, GPRS etc.) environment right from the start, so the application will be built to be "WAN-ready" instead of finding out later that it isn't! For testers, it's a quick way to turn a test system on a LAN into a test system in a WAN. Multiple copies of INE for Windows can be controlled via a central console if required.
iTrinegy Network Emulator - Companion (INE Companion) can be deployed to monitor and report on application data flows over IP networks with the capability to generate INE Network Scenarios from this information. These network scenarios can then be used by the main emulator products above to recreate the desired network conditions. In addition to its network analysis capabilities INE Companion also features packet generation, capture, decoding and replay capabilities.
