Infoterra specialises in end-to-end geo-spatial data management solutions. We are a 100% owned subsidiary of EADS Astrium, Europe’s largest space company. Our heritage is in survey and satellite data acquisition and its exploitation, which has provided Infoterra over 20 years experience in delivering a wide range of mapping and GIS products and services.

Infoterra acquires and processes all types of airborne and satellite data to generate client specific information products and has become one of the UK's leading airborne data acquisition specialists. As well as offering conventional datasets such as aerial photography, Infoterra routinely uses other aerial reconnaissance technologies such as thermal imagery, digital camera data and lidar data, as well as the operating the widest range of Commercial Satellite Imagery (CSI) distribution agreements. We are currently the de facto supplier of CSI to the UK MOD.

Infoterra has developed a complete range of exploitation skills and production flow lines, including VMAP, DTED, CIB, as well as 3D simulation and visualisation products. To service a growing defence portfolio, Infoterra has invested in appropriate production facilities to satisfy the defence market’s requirements. Unlike traditional mapping companies, Infoterra is skilled in data management; storage and real-time web-based and thin band image delivery systems. This is complemented by system development of complex geo-database solutions and operations expertise for geo-hosting systems. Working to ISO9001 quality standards, Infoterra has a business philosophy of delivering end-to-end geographic information solutions.
