Electrothermal Engineering Ltd, design and manufacture labour saving laboratory products, specialising in Heating and control products along with Specialised products for the Military - Army - Navy and Air force. Some of these products are: - Heating mantles, melting point apparatus, heating/cooling dry blocks along with a Heater Water & Ration Unit (RAK15) which is used by the military.
The RAK15 can provide hot meals and drinks in twenty minutes for a five-person crew of most armored vehicles, as well as hot water for personal hygiene purposes. The unit will heat up to 5 MRE's (meals ready to eat) and 1.4 litre's of drinking water, or by removing the inner ration container, the RAK 15 has an increased capacity of up to 4 litre's of drinking water.
The RAK 15 will keep the contents hot for several hours after the product is switched off. It is a lightweight, robust and versatile product and in order to have flexible control over the temperature within the RAK 15 the unit has low and high temperature settings. Along with the integral controller there is also an over-temperature and low battery (voltage) cut-out for safety so preventing the accidental drain of the vehicle's batteries.
The RAK15 is currently being fitted to over 50 different types of track and wheeled vehicles.
