Defence Vision Systems
Defence Vision Systems (DVS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Photonic Science, was formed in the early 90’s to supply the Defence Market with small, low signal input cameras of high quality.
The cameras, in module form, immediately found favour for integration into surveillance systems, armoured vehicles and airborne applications. The airborne application covers both helmet-mounted, for pilot use as well as forming part of the aircrafts independent observation suite.
Our range now includes Intensified CCD cameras for general use, as well as fast gated versions for use with Laser Illuminators, plus EM CCD cameras offering a wide range of user selectable functions. All the cameras are fully automatic and provide the optimum image over the full 24-hour period.
Photonic Science Limited was formed in 1986 with the purpose of developing and manufacturing camera systems for the scientific market. Photonic Science is a high technology manufacturer of scientific detector systems covering the range of visible to x-ray detection.
The camera technology offered is wide ranging, from intensified cameras for temporal imaging to integration of charge in the CCD ‘Slow Scan’ techniques, with systems offering both high resolution and high dynamic range (12 and 16 bits).
