Electromagnetic Interference Gaskets

Conductive elastomer gaskets are EMI shielding and sealing devices made from highly conductive, mechanically resilient and conformable vulcanised elastomers. Conductive elastomers are used for shielding electronic enclosures against electromagnetic interference (EMI).

Caledonian Industries & Laird Technologies offer conductive elastomers in the following forms:

  1. ElectroSeal dispersed filler particles in elastomers.
  2. Electromet oriented wire in solid or sponge elastomers, and impregnated wire mesh and expanded metals.

Caledonian Industries offers a wide variety of conductive filler materials in extruded profiles/strips, moulded die-cuts, dispensed form-in-place, printed and coated formats. Together with our manufacturing partner, Laird Technologies, we are constantly formulating new and custom compounds to provide you with more design options to meet your needs.

Thermal Interface Elastomers

Our high performance thermal interface elastomers provide engineers, designers and manufacturers with the ability to create equipment that runs cooler and more reliably. Our thermal management products include gap fillers (including putties), phase change materials, thermal greases, and thermally conductive insulator materials.

Noise Control Foams & Elastomers

We carry extensive stocks of noise control foams & elastomers which we can supply in sheet or roll form. Our range of foam materials can be applied to provide a solution for both original equipment and in-plant noise problems. Class O (BS476) Foams available have a high resistance to fire, low smoke emission and excellent acoustic properties. We are also the UK distributor for ANTIPHON products

Shock and Vibration Control

These materials are applied to reduce the vibration in panels, typically machinery casings, where it is the vibrating panel that is producing the noise, or as a cushion to prevent shock being transmitted to delicate components. We are a Sales Associate for the PORON® Urethane and BISCO™ Silicone range of materials from the Rogers Corporation of the US.

Flight Cases

Flight cases are designed using the most up-to-date CAD software, which gives us the unique opportunity to present you with the most durable flight case tailored to your individual requirements. We use the very latest materials to BS standards, designed specifically for the construction of flight cases.

Protective packaging for your product and assemblies is vital and the solution can be provided using our vast range of converted foams. We have been designing and manufacturing for the packaging industry for over 30 years and can offer a wide portfolio of polyethylene and polyurethane foams.
