Base-X Shelters have gained a large following with their focus on providing the military with lightweight, deployable shelter solutions. The complementary product lines provide the joint services with the speed, durability and flexibility required by today’s transformation and expeditionary forces.

The Base-X shelters line includes clear-span individual sizes ranging from 142 to 935 square feet, and can be connected in an infinite variety of configurations. The Base-X Shelter System has passed testing at the U.S. Army's Aberdeen Proving Grounds for durability, driving rain, blackout, wind and 10-pound-per-square-foot snow load. BMI’s Chemical/Biological/Radiological resistant shelter systems are now available for all Base-X shelter systems.

BMI also offers a military-approved Support Trailer System that provides mobile power generation and environmental control capabilities for completely, self-supported Command and Control centers, Field Hospitals, Communications Shelters and Billeting facilities.

Military programs that have adopted the Base-X Shelter System include: Deployed Digital Training Camps; U.S. Army's Air and Missile Defense Command and Control System TOCs; U.S. Marine Corps Forward Resuscitative Surgery Suite; U.S. Navy's Mobile Inshore Undersea Warfare Units; and many other Brigade, Division, Regiment, and Battalion-level units among Active Armed Forces, National Guard, and Reserve Units.
