A.O.B Technologies Ltd. Is a leader in the fields of Development, Modification and Integration of Automotive and Mechanical systems to upgrade military vehicles.

AOB has developed unique automotive systems, upgrades for combat vehicles which save the need to replace good vehicles with more expensive solutions.

The systems come as kits ready for installation with minimal preparation work of the vehicle's hull or chassis, replacing existing systems or supplementing them to enhance performance and capabilities.

AOB cover the whole range of activities, as Prime or Sub-contractor for Governments, Armed forces and Defense Industries, including - Design, Manufacture and Supply of its unique solutions. Production line Integration, systems Installation, Complete Logistics support and engineer training.

AOB's permanent staff includes 25 people of which 18 are qualified engineers and technicians.

Past projects examples

  • Drivers Control package for M113A1 and M113A2 which replaces the steering and brake sticks with driver's friendly Steering wheel and brake pedal, provide ease of driving, better control and greater safety.
  • Emergency brake electrically or manually operated by the vehicle commander.
  • Complementing the driver's controls improvement is improving the Brake system performances and extend its life cycle by adding Engine brake kit and Braking pads lubrication systems.
  • Increase power and efficiency by upgrading the power trains by method of modification (from 212 BHP to 275 BHP) or introduce a new power pack package ranging between 300 - 400 BHP.
  • Reinforce and improve suspensions performances to allow gross vehicle weight to increase up to 17 ton without the need for the M113 extension. It achieved by introducing 3 times better Torsion Bars and other smaller adjustment at the suspension arrangements.
  • Improved cooling systems.

  • Tank Power Packs modification and integration
  • Wheeled vehicles dieselization and complete retrofit and upgrading.
  • Special purpose vehicles and tanks design and manufacturing like recovery and engineering vehicles, command posts and ammunition carriers.
  • 4x4 and 6x6 vehicles modification and upgrading allows increase in free payload - especially suitable for add-on armor and new weapon systems introductions.

AOB solutions are designed for easy implementation, whenever possible they are design as stand-alone kits enabling the client to use it as a whole or to pick the components he is most interested in. In the same way of thinking, most of the kits are designed to be installed in low Depot levels.

Development

AOB in-house engineering capabilities include development of new systems, retrofit and upgrading of existing systems and consulting services.

The company's design capability is enhanced by using advanced CAD facilities, Different types of databases and program languages.

Production - AOB has in-house and out-souring production capability to supply every item included in its programs. This capability covers turn-key programs systems supply as well as single items required by the customers.

Project management - Project management capability includes a combination of experienced project managers, engineers, estimators and planners.
The Company has experienced project engineers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Quality Assurance -AOB hold the Quality Management Standard ISO 9001 for Development, design, Manufacture and Servicing of Mechanical and automotive systems.

ILS support - AOB ILS capability covers all ranges required to support the customers equipment throughout all the systems life cycle. The ILS covers Technical and Operational Manuals, Training and Supervision, Spare parts control and supply, Organization, design and construction of maintenance and support systems.

AOB operational concept is to support local industries, acting as sub-contactor to them providing long term engineering and logistics support and transfer sufficient know how to allow in-country self support when the project is over.
