ECM Technology

Allen-Vanguard have designed and developed advanced ECM technology whose purpose is to prevent the remote, radio controlled detonation of improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The specific effect of Allen-Vanguard ECM technology is to "jam" or block the radio signal transmitted to an explosive device, preventing its initiation, without blocking normal comms.

The extensive range that Allen-Vanguard ECM systems provide are field proven to provide an effective response and protection from RCIED threats and are used for IEDD render-safe procedures, event or venue protection, force protection (foot patrol & vehicle convoy) and VIP protection.

Vehicle Cooling System

Allen-Vanguard owns the market-leading premier range of Med-Eng™ Personal Body Cooling Suits that are essential to EOD technicians wearing bomb suits because it they mitigate heat stress, especially in hot and humid climates, giving the technician more time to work at their task. Other models of our Micro Climate Military Vehicle Cooling System are proven to reduce the heat stress on sensitive electronic equipment and on personnel transported in military vehicles.

CBRNE Decontamination

From small scale emergency and spot CBRNE decontamination of people and property to large scale CBRNEdecontamination of vehicles, buildings, equipment and infrastructure, Allen-Vanguard offers scalable, self-contained units for First Responders, EOD Technicians, Military, Close Protection and Hazardous Material Teams. Quickly deployable and easily operable, Allen-Vanguard’s decontamination foam delivery systems use CASCAD™, a single chemistry which neutralises all known military chemical and biological agents within NATO specified times. A variation of this chemistry – Surface Decontamination Foam (SDF™) was developed particularly for application on building surface materials.

Blast Armour

Allen-Vanguard owns the market-leading premier range of Med-Eng™ IDAS™ scalable protective equipment used by military and police tactical personnel to protect the extremities against the threats of blast fragmentation and bullets. Specific components of the blast armour are designed for vehicle and cupola gunners to offer additional protection.

Blast Protection Seats(Tactical Vehicle Human Survivability Systems)

Allen-Vanguard Blast Protection Seats significantly reduce the effects of gross vehicle acceleration associated with landmine detonations, increasing human survivability limits for vehicle occupants. The bolt-in, Blast Protection Seats, with integrated restraints, increase human survivability by isolating the seat occupant, and protecting the brain, neck, spine and lower legs. The seats are ergonomically designed to provide optimum comfort for the occupant while providing maximum protection. The Blast Protection Seats can be integrated into new builds or retrofitted to existing vehicles and are configurable for small, medium and large wheeled and tracked combat vehicles.

CBRNE Personal Protection Systems (Personal Protection Against Chem-Bio Agents)

Allen-Vanguard CBRNE personal protection system provides First Responders, Hazardous Material and EOD Technicians protection against exposure to harmful chemical, biological, and radiological materials in emergency situations. Our personal protection system is ergonomically designed to provide user with high levels of comfort and protection while ensuring minimum thermal load. The Allen-Vanguard Personal Protection System comprises a Saratoga Hammer suit, a PC4 mask, and Air-Boss Defence gloves and boots.
