AEI Systems Ltd (AEIS) is a high quality defence orientated 'Original Equipment Manufacturer' (OEM), specialising in small to medium calibre weapon systems and supply of military aircraft structures and components. AEIS apply aerospace quality standards across its entire air, land and sea product range as part of our company culture.

History

AEIS was established in July 2005 from the assets and goodwill of Aircraft Equipment International Ltd (AEI), after AEI went into administrative receivership in June 2005.

AEI had traded for more than 40 years and was Design Authority (DA) and OEM for the famous Aden 30 mm Gun, Aden 25 mm Gun and was well known as a major military aircraft support company. AEI was established in 1961 by Norman Angel, and enjoyed the privilege of the directorship of Group Captain Sir Douglas Bader and Air Vice Marshall Johnny Johnson. AEI was instrumental in winning the contract to manufacture and supply the 'Enforcer' remote control weapon station (RCWS) for the British Army 'Panther' Future Command Liaison Vehicle (FCLV), with a planned in-service date of 2007.

AEIS has retained essential personnel and maintains the supply of all products, DA and OEM services of AEI, apart form the Enforcer' RCWS. AEIS operates from the original modern 16,500 sq ft facility in Berkshire, from where R&D, CAD, DA, QA, manufacture, assembly and storage activities are conducted. AEIS conducts proof, acceptance and test firing activities at a prime UK test firing facility, and is totally equipped in this area e.g. Universal Range Table, Hawk/Harrier Pod Firing Stands, Sky Screens, VFR monitors, weapon kinematic computer and monitoring equipment
