Blast Absorption Solution
TABREarmor® is a patented material that absorbs all elements of blast. All AIGIS vehicle blast protection systems incorporate this material and are specifically designed to help counter IED threats, aiming to protect vehicle occupants from the potentially fatal effects of overpressure, fragmentation and acceleration.
No other product on the market can achieve this, as previous technologies have concentrated on deflection rather than absorption. TABREarmor® supports complex shapes and can be fitted either in manufacture or retrofitted to the vehicle.
Blast Protection Performance
TABREarmor®’s performance can be scaled to different threat levels (NATO-Stanag 4569 levels 2-4).
It provides superior blast absorption results:
- 40% impulse reduction
- 70% deformation reduction
- 90% overpressure reduction
It also provides superior survivability results, giving a significant reduction of burst ears/ lungs/ eyes, impact injury, burns and fragment injury.
