SubscribeThe SensoCopter Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) is a multi-purpose, modular reconnaissance system which can easily be transported in a backpack for MOUT (Military Operations in Urbain Terrain) scenarios.
Its vertical-takeoff-and-landing capability in conjunction with the GPS/INS-based Flight Control System (FCS) enables easy handling of the system, especially in urban terrain.
The system has been developed for use with small electro-optical cameras (day/dawn and night-vision cameras) and for taking gas or water samples.
All data stored in the UAS, such as GPS coordinates, INS data, etc., can be made available on the user laptop via data download link. The system is operated by standard remote control using a video head-up display.
Online representation of the camera images taken, with superimposed status data, in the operator's video head-up display enables the operator's telepresence at the system's current position.
Waypoints to be flown over by the UAS may also be preset by laptop.
