Partnership Will Provide Simulated Convoy Training for U.S. Army

ATLANTA - - July 01, 2004 - - FATS, Inc. has joined forces with Lockheed Martin Corporation to provide advanced combat convoy operations training to the U.S. Army troops in the global war on terrorism. FATS is a leading producer of high quality simulation systems and training solutions for military, law enforcement and security agencies worldwide.

As convoy casualties continue in military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan effective training exercises are vital to operational success. Simulated combat convoy training will improve preparation and military readiness.

FATS virtual small arms trainer (SAT), indirect fire trainer (IFT) and close air support (CAS) simulation in addition to Lockheed Martin’s Close Combat Tactical Trainer (CCTT) will create the Virtual Combat Convoy Trainer (VCCT).

FATS virtual training systems utilize realistic computer imaging to imitate terrain and targets for military exercises. Simulated field artillery, mortars, the ability to call naval gunfire and close air support will create a combined arms combat environment. FATS virtual weapons resemble the fit and function of live weapons to include recoil. FATS virtual training provides accurate, real-time diagnostics including point-of-aim, weapon status, trigger pressure and cant.

Ronavan (Ron) Mohling serves as chairman and chief executive officer of FATS, Inc. Under Mohling’s direction, FATS is leading the simulation training industry in innovation and service.

Mohling has served on the company's Board of Directors since Oct. 2000, and was elected chairman in Aug. 2002. Mohling was tapped for his leadership skills and long-term vision of growth for the company.

A native of Nebraska, Mohling graduated from the University of Nebraska and earned his MBA at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. His post-masters studies were at the University of Memphis.

Mohling brings to FATS a distinguished background in international business management. Over a thirty-five year career Mohling has held senior positions at leading global corporations.

Mohling was named vice president of business development for Bristol-Myers Squibb Company after serving as president of its Consumer Products Division - Europe, Middle East, and Africa. During his decade at Bristol-Myers starting in 1988, he was responsible for successfully growing the company’s international business through internal growth and acquisitions as well as overseeing two overseas manufacturing facilities.

Mohling served as a president and vice-president with Schering-Plough Corporation beginning in 1972, and was responsible for overseeing the Consumer Products Division.
