SubscribeKITCO Fiber Optics is pleased to announce that it has again been named to exclusively provide Shipboard Fiber Optic Maintenance Technician Training to the U.S. Navy.
The five-year contract for "Homeport Training Fiber Optic Maintenance Technician Course" was awarded to KITCO by the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division on April 11.
Under the terms of the contract, KITCO will provide training in strict compliance with MIL-STD 2042b at the Norfolk and San Diego Fleet Training Centers and nine additional Fleet Concentration Areas located both within the U.S. and around the world. Over the past five years KITCO has trained more than 3,000 sailors and civilians in shipboard fiber optics since the Navy awarded it with the original training contracts. KITCO's team of nine highly skilled fiber optic trainers who not only have more than 100 years of classroom experience but are also experienced in performing numerous fiber optic system installations onboard U.S. Navy ships will offer the training.
