Secure Communications Fax Model 490 (Portable)

GateWay Fax Systems' Model 490 Portable Secure Fax System consists of the Possio PM80 portable fax (shown above) and one of our Model 90si Secure Fax Gateways. Together the system provides the smallest secure fax capability available today.

SMALLEST SECURE FAX
The 490 (PM80 fax and 90si Secure Fax Gateway) weighs less than six (6) pounds...And that includes everything, cables, manuals, power supplies...everything! This system will fit in even the slimmest briefcase.

WINDOWS 95/98 PRINTER
The PM80 can function as a Windows 95/98 printer for a computer equipped with an infrared serial port.

ANYWHERE POWER
Plug the system into AC power anywhere in the world. No configuration, no worries. The 490 comes standard with 115/230 VAC auto-sensing power supplies to take the worries out of the "what power do they have here?" question.

DUAL MODE
This system can operate as both a secure fax AND a plain vanilla, non-secure fax, automatically. Take only one, small, fax for the job!

VEHICULAR APPLICATIONS
The 490 is ideal for the harsh environments of vehicular applications. With its optional mounting kit, the fax can be securely mounted to virtually any surface. This system is designed to take the heat and vibrations of tough vehicular use.

  • Exposure: Direct exposure to very strong sunlight should be avoided, not only because of the heating effects, but also to avoid malfunction of the scanner sensor.
  • Summary: PM80Õs normal operating temperature is between 0°C and 40°C. Except for charging, it may operate between less then -10°C and more than 40°C but performance in terms of quality and speed will be impaired.
