The HazProbe IED robotic inspection and drilling device is a robot-mountable accessory that provides increased inspection capability via an extendable articulating (pan and rotate) camera.
The unique ability of the HazProbe which elevates it above other robotic inspection and drilling devices is that it can drill through a wall first, and then perform an inspection inside the suspect space, therefore providing greater accuracy.
While the HazProbe has been optimized for use on WM Robots' KNIGHT robot, it was initially designed for the Andros F6A and Mark V-A1 robots. It is therefore 100% compatible with these robots in terms of mounting, power and communication kits.
The HazProbe can:
- Inspect inside cars, vans, truck, or cargo containers for large vehicle bombs.
- Drill through house or office walls to look for trip wires and IEDs.
- Inspect ventilation-ducting, under vehicles, and above ceilings.
- Use an articulating camera for a depth-perception view of a robot's gripper.
The HazProbe comes with an extensive range of bits, including hole saw, forstner, masonry core, carbide, and glass breaker.
