Spanish Contracts Awarded to SELEX Sistemi Integrati Valuing 22 Million Euros

SELEX Sistemi Integrati, a Finmeccanica company, has been awarded three contracts in Spain for a total value of 22 million Euros.

The contracts were signed with the shipyard Navantia and the Spanish Navy respectively. Through the first agreement, for a value of 14,9 million Euros, the company will provide Navantia shipyard with five last generation fire control radar systems RTN 25X C model.

Four systems will be installed on the BAM (Buque de Accion Maritima) patrols, which the shipyard will build on behalf of the Spanish Navy, while the fifth system will be delivered for the Spanish multirole frigate F106, which will also host US (Aegis) and Spanish technologies.

All the RTN 25X C model systems, that will be delivered within 2013, have forefront receivers able to guarantee better performance in terms of range, capability to detect two targets at the same time and implementation of electronic countermeasure capabilities (ECCM).Fire Control Radar Systems

With the second agreement, undersigned with the Spanish Navy, SELEX Sistemi Integrati will deliver spare parts for the RTN25X C model fire control radar system, that will be provided to the Spanish Navy by Navantia within 2013. The value of the contract is 3,05 million Euros.

With the Spanish Navy, SELEX Sistemi Integrati has also signed another contract for the upgrade of four fire control radar systems RTN 25X, B model, which the company delivered in 2000. The five year contract has a value of 3,8 million Euros, and will provide the RTN 25X B model fire control radar systems with the technology in use in the RTN 25X C model.
