SELEX Sistemi Integrati

SELEX Sistemi Integrati, a Finmeccanica Company operating in Radar and Command and Control Systems, has signed a contract with the Austrian Defence Ministry to supply two RAT31DL Long Range Systems.

RadarWorth around EUR 50 million, the agreement includes logistics activities (some 20% of the total value of the contract), and is a follow-up to the supply of the first RAT31DL System delivered to Austria in 2002.

The two new systems will be operated for long range air surveillance and will replace two S-band radars supplied to Austria by the Company in the 1970s. The new RAT31DL radar systems are similar to the others previously supplied to NATO Countries. This contract brings to 21 the total number of RAT31DL sold to NATO and non-NATO Countries.
