The Moroccan Civil Aviation has awarded a €6 Million contract for the supply of an air traffic control system and control centre.
SELEX Sistemi Integrati, a Finmeccanica company, has been awarded a 6 million Euro contract with the Civil Aviation of Morocco- ONDA (Organisation Nationale Des Aéroports)- for the supply of an air traffic control system.
The agreement will provide the installation of a primary ATCR-33 S mode radar, a SIR-S secondary radar and a control centre in the Menara international airport of Marrakech.
The radar equipments will be delivered within 12 months starting from the contract date, while the control centre will be released in 18 months and will include 13 operator posts.
SELEX Sistemi Integrati will provide the equipments in cooperation with the Moroccan company Telepac Technology which, on its side, will deal with the civil works, infrastructures, electrics and will take care of the installation and the post-sale assistance.
With this latest contract SELEX Sistemi Integrati can now include Morocco in its portfolio, consolidating its presence in the North African countries.
