MS Instruments PLC is pleased to launch the Non-Lethal Deterrent System (NLD), which provides an effective countermeasure against an aggressor.

The system is vehicle-borne and may be deployed whilst stationary or whilst the vehicle is in motion regardless of speed or weather conditions.

Non-Lethal Deterrent System

The NLD has been specifically designed to be of “Non-Lethal” status. This positive decision was taken so as to minimise the danger to innocent bystanders that may be caught up in lethal action initiated by any would be aggressor. Whilst we cannot account for the morals, ethics or actions of any aggressor, we can proudly account for the morals and ethics of the NLD System. We can clearly state that our “Non-Lethal” system poses far less danger to innocent bystanders than any lethal action an aggressor may unleash during any attack!

The UK Government has approved the system for export, without the need for an Export Licence. As a result, systems may be deployed rapidly in regions of the World where they are most needed.

This system, which is simple in concept and use, comprises a Firing Box connected to up to 12 unique pyrotechnic units secured to the vehicle through specially adapted mounts. There are three types of unique pyrotechnic units: Smoke, Sound and Air Burst units.

The NLD System conducts a self-diagnostic of the entire system and then defaults to the fully armed position. The NLD will feed back to the operator a visual status report through a simple series of lights depicting the current status of the systems, its readiness and functional ability. The operator has complete control over the system and can disarm any units that are not required. These units can be rearmed just as easily.

Foot Note:

The NLD is a small part of our unique family of Covert Protection Equipment all of which have been designed to provide the operators with “options” when encountering aggressive or possible aggressive situations.

The system can be seen at DSEi 2005. MS Instruments PLC, part of The Ballistics Centre group of companies, is at STAND 8OO.
