FC-75162 Is a Cool Addition to Laboratory Applications

Data Device Corporation (DDC), a leading international supplier of high-reliability data interface products, introduces an air-cooled Network Access Controller (NAC) to its series of Fibre Channel data networking solutions. The FC-75162 is the latest installment in DDC's second-generation FC-75100 Series NACs.

The FC-75162 further expands the capabilities of DDC?s powerful suite of dual-channel, PMC Fibre Channel NAC cards. The FC-75100 series continues to be an industry mainstay for use in conduction- cooled, embedded military/aerospace applications such as mission computers, data recorders, radar systems, FLIR, photo image sensors, and reconnaissance. Available with copper or optical interfaces, the cards operate in point-to-point, arbitrated loop, or switched-fabric topologies. The FC-75162 is targeted specifically to data management in the laboratory environment, avionics maintenance, and testing and simulation, as well as a wide variety of embedded avionics and vetronics applications that rely on air cooling.

"DDC remains committed to its leadership role in developing technologies that support long lifecycles across all markets," stated Ron Ethe, DDC's High-Speed Networking Marketing Manager. "With ongoing successful deployment of DDC's fibre channel cards in embedded applications, we expect that the FC - 75162 will expand the use of DDC's FC-75100 series of Fibre Channel NACs in laboratory environments, including data loading, monitoring, and analysis, testing and simulation, system integration, and avionics maintenance for embedded military applications."

The FC-75162 is available now.
