Double Wheel Sampler
For checking soil
The double wheel sampler enables the continuous measurement of chemical substances and also serves as a transfer station between terrain and analysis station. While one wheel runs along the soil, the other is checked by a sensor.
The samples then can be assessed in the vehicle using appropriate analysis technology (e.g. mass spectrometer or gas chromatograph) . The addition of a grab arm also enables samples of possibly contaminated soil to be taken.
If a wheel becomes contaminated, a reserve magazine of wheels enables the contaminated wheel to be changed, so that detection can proceed immediately.
