The RAID series is a family of hand-held, portable and stationary chemical agent detectors with automatic alarm function, applicable for personnel protection and CWA monitoring.

The devices can be operated under field conditions, on vehicles, on ships and in shelters. In a second operation mode, Toxic Industrial Chemicals (TICs) can be measured. The systems operate on the principle of Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS).

RAID-M - Hand-held Chemical Agent Monitor
The RAID-M is designed to be operated whilst being held one handed. It is used to monitor the contamination of personnel or equipment in the field and within collective protection facilities.
The RAID-M is able to detect, classify, and quantify chemical agents. Detected substances are displayed by class or by specific agent, together with the measured concentration range. G and H agents can be detected simultaneously. Hazard levels are indicated by an incremental display with five or eight increments.

RAID-1 - Versatile hand-held Chemical Agent Detector
The RAID-1 is a highly versatile system. It can be operated as hand-held or stationary detector for air monitoring purposes. Additionally, it is applicable as point detector when equipped with a special surface sampler or hand-held probe.

RAID-XP - The reliable NC Detector
The RAID- XP combines radiological and and chemical detection into one system based on the RAID-M Technology for chemical detection and the superior SVG2 technology for Y-Detection for radiological detection. Equipped with a data-logger and GPS connectivity it operates in both stationary and mobile mode, and can also be integrated into sensor networks.

RAID-S - Mounted Trace Gas Detector for Long Term Operation
The RAID-S is the stationary version of the RAID-1. Detection performance and display of results are identical for both instruments.

Equipped for long term operation, the RAID-S is typically applied for

  • Monitoring of facilities, shelters and airfields
  • Shipboard detection systems
  • Filter Monitoring
