Tiger XS Mobile security terminal

By Sectra Communications, , Sectra Communications

Tiger XS is a mobile high-grade security terminal originally developed by Sectra in a pilot study for the Swedish Defense.

Tiger XS is based on the Tiger platform that fulfills NATO requirements up to the security level TOP SECRET. In addition to secure voice and data communication, Tiger XS enables various types of secure applications such as mobile intranet.

Network independent
Tiger XS can be used in a large number of networks, even tactical ones. This means that interoperability comes as a feature rather than as a challenge. For example, a Tiger XS terminal operating in a Tetra network could communicate with a Tiger phone or another Tiger XS operating in a GSM network. Use your own cellular phone Tiger XS is a separate encryption terminal which communicates over your commercial communication equipment either via Bluetooth or through a standard serial cable.

Proofed for the future
By separating the encryption terminal from the communications equipment, you eliminate the risk that the security solution becomes obsolete. Tiger XS is prepared to communicate with any communications network in the future. The communications equipment can simply be replaced with another equipment, e.g. a 3G phone. Tiger XS also supports secure software update which prolongs the lifetime of the encryption terminal.
