Hazmat Tanker FIRETRAINER® Introduced

Kidde Fire Trainers Inc

Kidde Fire Trainers introduces its new mobile Tanker Hazmat FIRETRAINER® O-100.

The Tanker Hazmat FireTrainer® O-100 creates hot, challenging fires to train both new recruits and seasoned firefighters. The propane-fuelled fires burn cleanly, minimizing local environmental impact. All fires are controlled by the instructor, and can be ignited or extinguished at the touch of a button.

This means greater fire fighter safety and training efficiency. The trainer also incorporates a number of hazmat rupture and leak features. All equipment packs easily onto the 40-ft mobile trailer. The trainer can be towed by a conventional over the road tractor to deliver training wherever needed.

The first Tanker Hazmat FIRETRAINER® O-100 was purchased by the Wyoming Fire Department (Michigan USA) with funding from the Assistance to Firefighters (FIRE Act) Grant Program. Several other military bases and municipal fire departments have also expressed interest in the new training system.
