MIL-STD-1553 DATA BUS
DDC's extensive MIL-STD-1553 data bus product line has been expanded to include a high speed EBR1553 PC/104 board, a 66MHz Bus Speed 4-Channel 1553 PMC Card, PCMCIA interface card along with several new Bus Controller (BC), Remote Terminal (RT) and Monitor Terminal (MT) interface cards. DDC continues to set the pace for MIL-STD-1553 data bus products, in the United States and around the world. Bolstered by the introduction of the Advanced Communication Engine (ACE) series of fully integrated terminals, DDC has maintained its leadership position in the MIL-STD-1553 products market.

LINE-DRIVERS, TRANSCEIVERS AND AUTONOMOUSMICROPROCESSOR INTERFACES
ARINC 429 products from DDC are board-level and component products, including a PCMCIA interface.,line-drivers, transceivers and autonomous microprocessor interfaces. DDC discrete interfaces are meeting requirements for intelligent switch, relay and indicator monitors. The discrete interfaces accomplish intelligent 28 V-based switch, relay, indicator monitoring. DDC offers an autonomous microprocessor interface which includes FIFO's and RAM for sorting and filtering incoming data. These devices are compatible with the ARINC 429 standard.

SYNCHRO/RESOLVER CONVERSIONThe Enhanced Bit Rate (EBR) 1553 is a higher speed 10Mbps standard data bus COTS solution for interfacing between an embedded PC/104 processor card and a 10MHz MMSI/EBR-1553 bus.

SYNCHRO/RESOLVER CONVERSION
We offer the smallest, most accurate synchro/resolver-to-digital and digital-to-synchro/resolver converters available on the market today. Many of these single chip and hybrid converters are based on custom monolithic designs, making them the most reliable converters ever offered.

 

The Mini-ACE Mark3 and PCI Mini-ACE Mark3 are the world's first and smallest ceramic MIL-STD-1553 terminals powered entirely by 3.3 volts, thus eliminating the need for a 5V power supply.

Synchro/resolver cards, including multichannel and instrument grade for IBM® PC and VME/VXI applications, are available. A complete line of synchro/resolver test equipment is also available, with products including angle position indicators and simulators (bench top and board level). Oscillators, devices for motion control and special functions (i.e. LVDT-to-digital or two-speed combiner converter) complete the line.

SOLID-STATE REMOTE POWER CONTROLLERSSOLID-STATE REMOTE POWER CONTROLLERS
Solid-State Power Controllers (SSPCs)/Remote Power Contollers (RPCs) replace traditional electromechanical components in power switching and distribution systems. DDC is the world's largest supplier of RPCs based on the M1A2 (TANK) production contract. We are also the first to offer commercial and fully qualified MIL-PRF-38534, 883B screened, 28Vdc RPCs. DDC's RPC's support computer control are based on real-time digital status reporting. Plus, they are equipped with instant trip, true I2T trip protection, and real time status outputs, with solid-state reliability. Included in the RPC product line are 270VDC units with current ratings of 1 through 15 amps, and 28VDC units with 1 through 80 amps.

DDC is the world's leading supplier of synchro & resolver conversion products for position feedback and a major supplier of motion feedback technology(MFT). MFT Products are used in military and industrial applications.

DDC's three-phase motor controllers continue to be the controller-of-choice for DC brushless motors used in a variety of aerospace, military and commercial aircraft applications. Components that can accurately control the power flowing through the motor are necessary to control the movement and positioning in motion control systems. For brush and three-phase brushless motors operating from 28VDC to 270VDC and requiring up to 18kW of power, DDC is the premier manufacturer of hybrid motor drives and controllers. Applications range from aircraft actuators for primary and secondary flight controls, jet or rocket engine thrust vector controls, missile flight controls, to pumps, fans, solar arrays and momentum wheel control for space and satellite systems.
