SubscribeMilitary Humvee Steering Systems have different configurations among which a few that add extra weight over the original vehicle design, especially for add-on armor protection.
Most of the Extra load is distributed on the front axle, which in turn affects and restricts the Steering Power to a very poor level.
AOB Technologies presents a solution to this problem obtaining:
- Installation of a Hydraulic Cylinder for additional force (double) on the Center Steering Link and reinforcement of the Pitman Arm.
- Improvement of the Oil Pump by:
- Increasing the oil flow from 3.5 GPM to 4.4 GPM.
- Increasing the oil pressure up to 1500 PSI.
- Improvement of the steering gear.
- Adjustment of the oil flow system.
