1553 Card with 2Mb per Channel and IRIG-106 Chapter 10.
Data Device Corporation (DDC), a leading international supplier of high-reliability data interface products, announces the introduction of a new PCI-104 card. With up to four dual-redundant MIL-STD-1553 channels, five user-programmable digital discrete I/Os, selectable external or internal time-tag clock, and an IRIG-B time synchronization input, the new BU-65577C is a rugged card that can be used in both convection and conduction cooled applications. The PCI-104 and PC/104 Plus form factors are commonly used in flight data recorders, displays, and other avionics systems.
The BU-65577C card utilizes DDC's innovative Extended Enhanced Mini-ACE (E2MA) Architecture. E2MA supports new standard features for each 1553 channel such as 2 MB RAM with parity per channel, 48-bit/1 μs or 100nS time tag, and built-in self-test.
Its intelligent hardware offload engine provides extremely low PCI bus and host CPU utilization while storing 1553 Monitor data in a convenient IRIG-106 Chapter 10 format. "The addition of this card completes DDC's PC/104 Card family of products, offering unsurpassed performance for use in a ruggedized avionics environment," stated Todd Decker, DDC's MIL-STD-1553 Marketing Manager.
The BU-65577C includes a High-Level C API (Application Programming Interface) Library that supports all advanced architectural features, and driver support for Integrity, VxWorks, Linux, and Windows® for MIL-STD-1553 functionality.
The high-level library functions abstract all register accesses and memory allocation so that no specific hardware knowledge is required.
The BU-65577C series is now available.
