E-COMMERCE LOGISTICS SYSTEM
ESSI’s logistics support capabilities are readily available through our e-commerce logistics system – ESSIbuy.com, Inc. In addition to traditional supply and maintenance channels, ESSI's electronic, web-based system provides instant access to allow customers to order any of the logistics capabilities and products within the ESSI family of companies and supplier/partners.
Foremost is the capability to order spare and repair parts for any systems manufactured by ESSI, using a system similar to the Military Standard Requisitioning & Issue Procedures (MILSTRIP) requisition process. It does not replace known supply sources, but rather creates yet another source of supply. Once online, customers can search for parts and pricing information via catalog or Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM).
They can then order directly from ESSIbuy.com and have the orders filled within a matter of days, depending upon stock availability and priority of shipment. The order is direct-shipped from our vendors or from ESSI factories. E-logistics capability also opens the door to a wide variety of traditional logistics services. These include integrated planning and management of all logistics requirements as well as other services such as logistics engineering, provisioning, technical publication development, field service, maintenance and repair, and training.
COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING
ESSIbuy.com also has a full complement of training capabilities available to include training needs assessment, course development, training simulation, and onsite training by qualified instructor personnel. Our e-logistics network also makes available field service support through field engineers stationed around the world supporting a variety of ESSI products.
INTERACTIVE ELECTRONIC TECHNICAL MANUALS (Web™)
To enhance ESSI’s e-logistics Internet capabilities, we offer a unique Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM), which converts technical manuals and maintenance and repair parts manuals to fully linked Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) documents.
This conversion of electronic/paper-based manuals to interactive electronic format allows on-time viewing over the Internet or any web browser or locally via a browser and CD-ROM. The real enhancement of this IETM manual is its link through the Internet to the ESSI e-commerce logistics store where on-line ordering of repair parts directly from a view of the repair parts manual can be made.
The customer has the opportunity to identify the part within the manual then order that part on-line. The system provides automatic access to price and availability information, order/ship time, and other pertinent information. Once ordered, our system will provide shipping status and will track demand status if the customer desires.
PARTS OBSOLESCENCE / REINVENTION (MILPARTS)
ESSI has implemented a 21st century technology solution to the problem of obsolete or hard-to-acquire parts. Leveraging state-of-the-art 3D laser modeling and reverse engineering processes, this capability creates manufacturing - ready technical data that can be sourced for rapid manufacturing at significantly reduced time and cost. This process effectively “re-creates” the supply chain for troublesome yet critical parts, thus enhancing operational readiness at a fraction of the cost.
Radian offers its Military Parts Reinvention Network (MILPARTS) to reinvent, manufacture, and deliver difficult-to-obtain aviation, missile, shipboard, ground vehicle, and support equipment spare parts.
MILPARTS’ core competency is the preparation of digital technical data packages (D-TDP), which represent state-of-the-market manufacturing ready data. The MILPARTS network of pre-qualified engineering, test, rapid prototyping, and manufacturing sources, is competed for machine time and raw materials resulting in dramatically reduced leadtime and cost for legacy system parts.
MILPARTS provides to the customer, without royalty, unlimited rights to all digital technical data packages (D-TDP) for all re-engineered components.
