The LAV family of vehicles includes wheeled armored vehicles ranging from 13-25 tons in a number of configurations.

Product/Program Description:

Variants include LAV-25, Surveillance, Fitter, Command Post, Forward Observation Officer (FOO), TOW Under Armor (TUA), Engineer, Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC), Ambulance, Infantry Mobile Vehicle (IMV), Recovery Vehicle, Radio Access Post and more.

Complimenting this wide range of vehicles, is a full line of weapons systems. The LAV, based on the MOWAG’s Piranha family of vehicles, can accommodate a wide range of weapons systems from 7.62mm to 105mm Assault Guns and anti-tank guided missile systems.

LAVs have been deployed in a number of military operations worldwide, including Operation JUST CAUSE – Panama (US Army 1998-1990), Operation DESERT STORM – Iraq (US Marine Corps 1991), UN Protection Force Former Yugoslavia (Canada 1992-1995), UN Assistance Mission for Rwanda (Canada 1993-1996), UN Mission in Haiti (Canada, 1993-1996), The Balkans (IFOR – 1995-1996, SFOR 1995-, KFOR 1999-2002), UN Mandated International Force in East Timor (Australia 1999-), Operation ENDURING FREEDOM – Afghanistan (US Marine Corps 2001), Operation IRAQI FREEDOM – Iraq (USMC and US Army, 2003-), Operation APOLLO (Canada 2001-2002) and Operation ATHENA – Afghanistan (Canada, 2003).
