The COPAS 24R pyrotechnic simulator is a spin-off development triggered by the training community's increased request for multiple use battlefield effect simulators.

COPAS 24R

COPAS 24R combines the features of the well known radio operated Fire Marker Unit (FMU) concept with the qualities of C.O.E.L.’s lightweight (20 lbs) pyrotechnic launcher COPAS 24R. The concept was rounded off with the integration of TWGSS and MILES 2000 targeting functions.

The COPAS 24R is a multi-function, radio operated pyrotechnic simulator that supports range instrumentation, MOUT instrumentation and other remote controlled pyrotechnic effects. Its most important feature however is the combination of simple use and quick set-up procedures. COPAS 24R is a 100% selfcontained unit. No external antennas, batteries or switches are required. One single unit is placed at the desired location and activated. Set-up complete!

COPAS 24R is radio controlled via the ruggedized PyroTerminal Laptop, the PocketPyro PDA or via TWGSS and MILES 2000 type laser codes.
