Communications Ruggedized Command & Control Solutions (L-3 RCCS) has been selected by Thales Defense Optronics to supply its Display & Control Module for the Thales Drivers Vision Enhancer (DVE) system for the British Army's Future Command & Liaison Vehicle (FCLV).

This contract includes the manufacture of over 400 DVE systems and marks the first volume introduction of uncooled thermal imaging driver sight systems into the UK vehicle fleet.

The compact and lightweight L-3 RCCS Display & Control Module will provide a significant enhancement in viewing situational awareness as well as greater vehicle safety. The introduction of the DVE system into the driver's compartment is an important step in the overall plan to improve the effectiveness of the UK Light Armored Vehicle (LAV) fleet.
