General Dynamics Amphibious Systems is located in Woodbridge, Virginia. Its employees design, develop, integrate, deliver and support expeditionary vehicles, their derivatives and associated subsystems for the USMC and other domestic and international customers.
The GDLS central office complex in Sterling Heights, Michigan, is Land Systems’ headquarters. It houses the engineering, design and development, customer service and support, systems integration laboratories, and staff support functions. The Sterling Logistics and Engineering Center provides training and logistics support to customers around the world. GDLS Future Combat Systems opened in 2004 and houses the engineering staff dedicated to the Manned Ground Vehicle systems development and demonstration.
General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada operates a plant in London, Ontario, that assembles the Stryker for the U.S. Army and manufactures other LAV products for customers around the world. It is our international sales center for the LAV and 4x4 security vehicles to a variety of international police and military customers. It also oversees the operation of General Dynamics Land Systems-Australia.
General Dynamics Land Systems-Australia headquarters is located in Adelaide, South Australia. The business manufactures 25mm turrets for the Australian and New Zealand markets in its nearby Pooraka facilities. It also has maintenance and Repair and Overhaul (R&O) facilities in Darwin, Northern Territories and marketing offices in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
