Following extensive trials the Royal New Zealand Navy have chosen the Douglas RAM as the helicopter deck handling system for its new MRV vessel HMNZS Canterbury.

The new vessel represents an extremely high tech solution to the carriage of vehicles and personnel including new techniques for vertical supply via a range of helicopter options.
Douglas have worked for some time in conjunction with the New Zealand Navy during the period the vessel was being built in Rotterdam in 2006 and during its sea trials.
