Using 2 Acoustic Sensors Arrays, PILAR MKII-w system not only locates in 3D the origin of the shot but also displays the bullet trajectory.
PILAR MKII-w device locates the origin of the shot within ±2° in bearing and a typical ±20% in range depending on the distance between the two arrays versus the firing range. The detection range can be over 1,500m. Because the localisation is performed on the supersonic signature of the passing bullet, the detection range of the PILAR MKII-w is above the effective range of the weapon.
