SubscribeMilfoam Ltd has developed a Heavy Gun Barrel Cleaning System in cooperation with the Finnish Defence Forces between 2001 and 2004. In 2005 the Finnish Defence Forces accepted the Cleaning System for operational use.
The Milfoam Cleaning System is used for the cleaning of gun barrels after the firing exercises and for the regular maintenance as well as for the change of conservation oil in depot stored weapons.
According to the visual inspections the Milfoam Cleaning System with the cleaning foam has removed efficiently the combustion residues and copper from the barrel.
The Milfoam Cleaning System is portable and equipped with a control system including automatic working cycles for different types of cleaning operations. This makes possible the maintenance of the heavy barrels without full time presence of personnel and moving the guns.
