VISLINK Group plc's specialist Defence, Law Enforcement and Security (DLES) Business Division will be demonstrating its extensive communication and video surveillance portfolio on Stand No: 364 at this year's DSEi event, taking place from 12-14 September at London's ExCeL.
VISLINK will showcase specialist defence and homeland security solutions from three of its companies - Advent Communications, Link Research and MRC Communications, including three DSEi launches. VISLINK's DLES Business Division was established earlier this year to integrate the unique combination of leading edge technologies within the Group companies.
Headed up by Director Matthew Richards, the Division has access to more than 400 specialists worldwide, harnessing three key technology strands to create best of breed systems for government agency and defence applications.
These are drawn from Advent Communications' industry leading end-to-end ultra lightweight satellite communications systems, designed for rapid deployment; Link Research's low latency COFDM-based covert and overt digital video surveillance systems, optimised for use in built-up city centres; and MRC Communications' fixed and portable digital microwave data links, specialising in networked solutions and real time airborne video downlinks.
International Defence Debut for Summit Flyaway Satellite System
Jointly developed by Advent Communications and MRC Communications, the Summit Flyaway Satellite System is making its first international appearance. Summit is a lightweight one-point auto acquisition terminal that is designed to address military and government agency applications. Summit's comprehensive facilities include remote Internet and VPN connectivity, as well as high performance video conferencing, providing a fully integrated and rugged solution for fast deployment satellite communications.
Digital Urban Video Strategic Surveillance System Launch
Link Research is demonstrating its recently launched Digital Urban Video (DUV) strategic video surveillance system. Designed principally for use in urban environments by government security agencies and military deployment, the DUV enables video surveillance to be conducted in densely built-up areas and over significantly extended ranges.
Based on Link Research's proven technology in the demanding field of global broadcasting, the new DUV system is a direct response to the requirement for improved counter-terrorism surveillance in urban environments, representing a major advance in reliable transmission and image resolution for mission-critical applications.
First Showing for US Unmanned Ground Vehicle with Integrated Digital Video Link
MRC Communications is highlighting its turnkey data link expertise, installed in a state of the art Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) from Black-I Robotics for EOD and IED-related applications. The UGV is in service with the US Government, and incorporates MRC Communications' rugged video data link.
The system comprises the Strata COFDM transmitter and camera, the TRC Diversity receive case, and the handheld QuickVue receiver unit. All of the hardware is battery powered for rapid deployment and operation. VISLINK's DLES Division is offering this versatile and robust turnkey system as a highly cost competitive alternative to conventional robot solutions.
