The Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference 2006 (SOFEX) provides a great opportunity to exhibit, forge alliances and network at the Middle East and North Africa's second largest defence exhibition. The exhibition is expected to attract over 250 exhibiting companies and organisations from throughout the world.
The heightened threat of terrorist activity means security teams need ever more sophisticated equipment and pre-emptive security measures. Allen-Vanguard's products have been developed in response to current demands after close consultation with end-users.
All products are currently being used by authorities worldwide, and range from high-risk search tools to CBRN-capable proofed Remote Operated Vehicles (ROVs):
- ROVs - large and small scale robots for remote access, manipulation and render-safe of both explosive devices and CBR dispersal devices through deployment of integrated CBR sensors.
- Universal Containment System™ (UCS) - a tent-like structure is used to surround devices and then filled with a special foam to mitigate blasts
- Decontamination systems - foam-based solutions for neutralising chem - bio materials; can also be used in conjunction with the UCS for CBRNE devices
- HAL® kits - semi-remote operating equipment for access and manipulation in high risk search and IEDD render safe procedures
- Search equipment - ranging from visual search equipment to special ops search kits and technical search equipment
- Electronic counter measures (ECM) - jammers for IEDD and force protection
