By Kelly Stiles, , Air Rover, Inc. - Environmental Control Systems

Air Rover worked directly with all branches of the United States Armed Forces to research, design, engineer, develop, and manufacturer world-class Field Deployable Environmental Control Units (FDECUs) for sensitive electronics and tent cooling during peace-keeping and combat missions.

UL Series ECU

In response to troop feedback and technological advances, Air Rover's air conditioning engineering team introduced the UL Series lightweight ECUs-modular environmental control units that produce cold, refrigerated air in extreme climatic conditions that range from minus 50 degrees to 150 degrees Fahrenheit. (66º C)

UL Series ECU with wheel kit

Features

The foundation of the ECU is a steel skid featuring unique corner option receivers that accept wheels, lifting rings, and leveling stands that slide and pin into position in seconds. The skid features handles for manually lifting the unit and fork pockets for lift trucks.

Split Tent Configuration

All aluminum precision CNC exterior construction houses a special refrigeration system that allows automatic bypass operation and a constant run compressor to ensure no electrical spikes or surges when powered by a portable power generator system.

UL Series ECU

Critical and sensitive electronics and communication gear operate smoothly without power surges from the compressor.

The unit is equipped with durable, high-efficiency micro-channel aluminum coils that allow the unit to stay online even when ambient temperature peaks to 150 degrees Fahrenheit.

Outside Ducted Deployment

Earth friendly, zero ozone depletion R-134a refrigerant cycles through a high-efficiency scroll compressor offering reliable and dependable cooling in high ambient conditions.

Summary

The UL Series ECU is Air Rover's answer to replace obsolete ECU systems.
