MaDCAT is an ideal tool for structuring and analysing experience data. The same is an abbreviation of Maintenance Data Categorization and Analysis Tool. MaDCAT has special emphasis on the analysis of reliability development over time.

- Multi-dimensional categorization and multi-criteria grouping of data.
- Trend analysis, using a set of statistical methods to analyze the development of events. Not only analyzing over time but also for any series of time-related operational performance measure.
