Armoured Patrol Vehicles from General Dynamics Land Systems
Program name:
DURO APV 4x4 – Armored Patrol Vehicle
Product/Program Description:
The APV 4x4 is purpose-built to meet the growing demands for increased protection in tactical vehicles. The vehicle features high mobility, a high level of protection, ease of operation and superior safety during on and off-road operations.
The APV 4x4 is a versatile, highly capable platform designed to operate as part of a family of vehicles with flexible layouts. Different mission kits can be integrated and weapons stations can be specified to suit customer requirements.
The APV 4x4 is based on the extraordinarily competent chassis of the DURO II tactical vehicle. This enables a payload capacity of 2400 kg with a GVW of only 7400 kg. Two fully-equipped APV 4x4 vehicles can be transported in a C-130 aircraft with no special preparation.
Optional equipment includes CTIS, air conditioning, NBC overpressure, run flat tires, add-on ballistic protection kit up to Level 3 STANAG 4569 and add-on mine protection kit up to Level 2b STANAG 4569.
